Benefiting From Commercial Operations

Local Energy Scotland is your free, impartial advice service through which you can access the Scottish Government’s Community and Renewable Energy Scheme (CARES). It can be a challenging process for community groups and developers to reach agreements and CARES is there to help make the process be more manageable and effective for all involved - we have a Start-Up Grant available to help groups become engaged in the process.

You may wish to consider and discuss the potential for a shared ownership project between two or more parties. There are a range of options available and both community and developer should be flexible in agreeing arrangements. Support for Shared Ownership projects is available from Local Energy Scotland to help you through the process.
