Keep Scotland Beautiful

Keep Scotland Beautiful manage and develop the Climate Challenge Fund (CCF) on behalf of the Scottish Government. Keep Scotland Beautiful is the independent charity which is committed to making Scotland clean and green, today and tomorrow. The CCF provides funding for community groups to tackle climate change. Grants are available to support community-led projects that reduce local carbon emissions, make community improvements and help communities cope with the impacts of climate change. The CCF supports project activities including:

-installation of energy efficient measures in community owned buildings

-advice and support on energy efficiency

-initiatives to provide lower carbon travel alternatives

-provision of community growing space and eating more sustainably 

-schemes to reduce, reuse and recycle waste

The Renewable Development Initiative has been established with the aim of providing sound independent advice to farmers and land managers across Scotland on renewable energy. This innovative initiative will run over three years and aims to follow the development of various renewable energy technologies including biomass, wind, solar photovoltaics, hydro power and anaerobic digestion.
