Community Benefits from Offshore Developments

Update: North workshop will now be held on the 23rd July at the Fife Renewables Innovation Centre in Methil.

 

The Scottish Government has published a document for consultation looking at the provision of community benefits from commercial offshore renewable energy projects.

The consultation period is open until 21st August and the draft document can be downloaded here: http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Publications/2014/06/9554. Responses are encouraged from all stakeholders, such as coastal community groups, renewable energy developers, third sector organisations and any other interested parties or individuals.

To facilitate responses to the document, Local Energy Scotland will be holding two events during the consultation period:

These events are free to attend and will provide an opportunity to ask questions about the document.
