Development Officer - Community and Renewable Energy Scheme (to cover maternity leave for up to 12 months)

Period:  from 5th August - up to 12 months.

Ref: CARES Central Scotland & Tayside

Terms:  £23,697 - £26, 235 (plus 8% employer pension contribution) to be based in Perth with occasional travel to other areas of Scotland.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an energetic, positive minded, self-motivated individual required to work within the Local Energy Scotland team delivering the CARES programme to communities and Rural Businesses in Central Scotland & Tayside

You will be experienced in the field of renewable energy and project delivery and will be able to work well within the CARES team as well as working on your own. You will be willing to travel (sometimes overnight) to projects located either in Central Scotland & Tayside. You will have a sound knowledge of technical and financial aspects of renewable project development and be highly organised with excellent communication skills and committed to efficient customer service. You must be able to work to programme targets and within set timescales and capable of producing robust and well thought out project evaluations and have excellent appraisal skills. If you are passionate about community renewable energy projects, energy innovation and building strong local economies then we would love to hear from you.
