Fund Open Now!

Local Energy Scotland’s Infrastructure and Innovation Fund is now open to applications!

 

Grant awards of up to £70,000 will be competitively awarded to innovative local energy projects across Scotland. Funded by the Scottish Government through the Community and Renewable Energy Scheme (CARES), the Infrastructure and Innovation Fund seeks to support low carbon, whole system, small scale projects, both heat and electricity. To register an interest in the fund, potential applicants are encouraged to contact Local Energy Scotland staff to discuss project ideas and to develop an application. Application forms must be submitted by 18th July, and expressions of interest must be registered in advance.

 

The Scottish Government is currently developing Scotland’s Energy Strategy, to support the country’s transition to a sustainable, stable and clean energy future. The Infrastructure and Innovation Fund intends to cultivate and develop projects which will overcome local challenges, to move towards this energy future. The priorities for the Infrastructure & Innovation Fund reflect learnings from the community energy sector, the changing subsidy regime and evolving energy systems.
