IIF is now open to new applications!

Innovative, small scale energy projects across Scotland can now apply for grants of up to £70,000 after the Scottish Government’s Infrastructure and Innovation Fund opened for new applications.

The Infrastructure and Innovation Fund supports whole system, renewable and low carbon, heat and electricity projects.  Through the Community and Renewable Energy Scheme (CARES), Local Energy Scotland can help you with your application and discuss your eligibility – just get in touch with the Development Officer in your region who can discuss your ideas help you through the process.  

You must:

  • register your expression of interest by 31 July; and
  • submit your completed application form by 7 August. 

The Infrastructure and Innovation Fund develops projects that overcome local energy challenges and contribute to the Scottish Government’s draft Energy Strategy vision – to support the country’s transition to a sustainable, stable and clean energy future.
